Beatriz
Beatriz Castro

Beatriz Castro is a movement artist, born and raised in Costa Rica, currently based in New York. She received a BFA in Dance and a BA in Business from Marymount Manhattan College where she performed in works by Earl Mosley, Anthony Morigerato, Chase Brock, Tami Stronach, and Sidra Bell. While at Marymount she presented her choreography at the Dancers At Work platform, as well as the NYU Choreo Seminar and Marymount’s Honors Day Colloquium. Internationally, she has performed self-choreographed work at the Graciela Moreno Choreographers Festival, the longest-running contemporary dance event in Costa Rica. She has also presented work at Arts On Site, Bridge for Dance, Green Space, Triskelion Arts, and Dixon Place. Beatriz has been awarded residencies for the exploration and development of new work through the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, MOtiVE Brooklyn, and Pepatián: Bronx Arts ColLABorative. Additional training includes New Dialect’s Summer and Winter Intensives, Martha Graham School Summer Intensive, Gallim Site Intensive, Revés, and Axis Connect.

Caleb
Caleb Patterson

​​Caleb Patterson is a dance artist based in New York City. He has performed works by several notable choreographers such as Nathan Trice, Rena Butler and Patrick O’Brien during his education at The Joffrey Ballet School in 2014. Alongside being seen in HBO’s Random Acts Of Flyness led by Domani Pompey, he has worked with artists Maleek Washington, Em Greenwell, Kayla Farrish and more. He has performed works by MATHETA dance, LaneCoArts, Spark Movement Collective, MORISATO, Kar’mel Small, Javier Padilla, Dolly Sfeir, Nicole Fuentes, and Beatriz Castro. Caleb collaborates closely with artists Michelle Thompson Ulerich and Johnny Butler, and has presented his own work at Arts On Site, TADA! Youth Theater, Bridge For Dance, The Visionary,  and other selected commissions. He has performed in Battery Dance Festival, MATHETA’s Speak Through Movement at Judson Church, Palm Desert Choreography Festival, PAGEANT,  Mare Nostrum Element’s Emerging Choreographer Series, Dance Gallery Festival, CUNY Dance Initiative and others.

Jonathan
Jonathan Colafrancesco

Jonathan Colafrancesco is an Italian dance artist currently based in New York. He has danced in productions of Italian and international choreographers like Roberta Ferrara, Enzo Celli, Elisabetta Minutoli, Dario Lupinacci, Francesco Asselta, Felipe Escalate, Samuel Pott, Vivake Khamsingsavath. Jonathan is currently a dancer for Spark Movement Collective, Park Avenue Armory, Ballet Nepantla, WHITE WAVE, Pony Box Dance Theatre, Xiang Xu dance, LaneCoArts, Tabula Rasa Dance Theatre, Project Tag, SandSilk Dance, and Terre Dance Collective. He graduated from the Certificate Program at Peridance in NYC with Honors. He has also danced in works by Rena Butler, Roya Carrera, Caleb Teicher, Assaf Salhov, Igal Perry, Isabele Rosso, Tsai-Hsi Hung, Yoshito Sakuraba, and Norbert De La Cruz lll. He's a co-founder of KROMA mvnt in NY. His choreography has been presented at Peridance Certificate Program's showcase (KNJ theatre), Kodafe 2021, Mark De Garmo festival, 7MPR, and Current Showcase Take.7. He has been commissioned to choroegraph for Terre Dance Collective and Spark Movement Collective's dancers in 2022.

Shannon Harkins

Shannon Harkins is a New York City-based dance artist. She began her training at The Washington School of Ballet, where she performed in Septime Webre’s world premieres of The Great Gatsby and ALICE (in Wonderland) at the John F. Kennedy Center. She trained at Walnut Hill School for the Arts and has attended summer programs at Ballet Austin, Charlotte Ballet, LINES Ballet, and Arts Umbrella in Vancouver. Shannon graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College, SUNY, where she performed works by Norbert de la Cruz III, Hannah Garner, and Maurya Kerr. Upon graduating, she has presented choreography at Battery Dance Festival, Norte Maar’s CounterPointe series, Monet’s Garden, and Dixon Place. She strives to create work that combines enhanced classical technique with added nuances, theatrics, and humor.

Daniel Morimoto

Daniel Morimoto grew up in Orlando, Florida, immersed within an environment of theme parks, childlike splendor, and a faint sense of magic in the air. He graduated from the University of Florida with a BFA in Dance and a minor in German. Currently, he dances with Spark Movement Collective, The Bang Group, Matthew Westerby Company, and more.

 

Daniel is also the Artistic Director of Digital Movement Dance. The company’s works focus on the world-building and story-telling aspects of video games, and how these intertwine with the modern dance format of performance.

Mackenzie Bingham

Mackenzie Bingham is a NYC-based freelance artist, originally from Houston, Texas. While training in Houston under the direction of Dorrell Martin, they had the privilege of learning works by Andrea Ward, Angelica Stiskin, Ashley Lindsey and Mike Esperanza. They received their Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase College, and have participated in summer programs all over the country such as Northwest Dance Project, OpenSpace Dance, Vim Vigor, and Sidra Bell Dance New York. Mackenzie has performed in original works by Cat Cogliandro, Marcus Jarrell Willis, Franco Nieto, Joshua Manculich and has also performed in restaged works by Martha Graham, Ihsan Rustem, and Rosalind Newman. They have had the pleasure of choreographing for the Klein Oak Dance program since 2019, and have also showcased their work at Mind the Gap at MATCH Houston. They are looking forward to dancing with Spark Movement Collective this season and continuing their exploration of movement and the choreographic process.

Mackenzie
Sarah Housepian

Sarah Housepian is from Southern California, she graduated with a BA in Dance from California State University of Fullerton. She was the Distinguished Keynote Speaker on behalf of The Performing Arts Department upon graduation. On the West Coast, she worked with Fuse Dance Company and BARE Dance Company(CA); she performed works by Colin Conner and José Limón. In New York, she has worked and continues to work with Battery Dance Company, Brian Brooks/Moving Company,  Mike Esperanza's BARE Dance Company, Yin Yue Dance Company, Robert Mark Dance, Erica Essner Performance Co-Op, Indelible Dance, 10 Hairy Legs Projects, NOW Dance Project, Shawn Bible Dance Company, Gabrielle Lamb, Julia Ehrstrand, and Max Stone. She has collaborated with visual artists and extensively explored dance on film, including starring in Robin Cantrell’s award-winning 40-minute dance film “Odyssey.” She has toured, performed, and taught domestically and internationally in Bulgaria, France, Germany, Canada, India, Honduras, Mexico, Vietnam, Indonesia, Nigeria, Israel and Palestinian Territories.

Mary Rogers

Mary Rogers is a dance artist currently based in Brooklyn, NY. Mary’s movement style and choreography bridge her formal training and experimental interest. Improvisation and composition are the foundations of her process. She has studied at Amsterdam University of the Arts and SUNY Purchase, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Modern Dance. Mary has performed works by Anna Maria Lucaciu, Rosalind Newman, Ohad Naharin, Doug Varone, MICHIYAYA, Amos Ben Tal, Nicole Beutler, Petra Zanki, and Elena Bajo. Mary has shown her own work at Green Space, Smush Gallery, Emerging Artists Theater, and Momenta NYC. Mary currently performs in the summer with Headlights Dance Theater, a performing arts company in South Dakota. Mary is also working as a Licensed Massage Therapist at Bodyworks DW. 

Sarah
Hannah Straney

Hannah Straney (she/her), born and raised in New York, is a director, choreographer, educator, singer, dancer, and arts programmer. She earned a BFA in Dance Performance from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance and has received additional training from TNUA in Taipei, Taiwan, The Juilliard School, Kaatsbaan Extreme Ballet, The Chautauqua Institution, and B12 in Berlin. Hannah has performed for the Merce Cunningham trust, and originated new works by Sidra Bell, Tom Weinberger, Shannon Gillen, Larry Keigwin, and Skyla Schreter. She has toured nationally with Dirty Dancing and spent four years at Company XIV as a singer, dancer, and actor. Currently Hannah is the choreographic assistant at The Stranger NYC, an artistic associate with Spark Movement Collective and Skyla Schreter Dance, as well as dancing for Kimberly Bartosik and Liz Gerring. Hannah is a producer at Retrograde Studios, in Brooklyn, NY and is artistically sponsored by The Creative outpost in Little Falls, NY.
